Simon Property Group (SPG), Keystone Mall flagship high-end store (Saks 5th Avenue) CLOSING July/2024

The Fashion Mall at Keystone to close high-end retail store [ Saks 5th Avenue ] amid redevelopment

SPG Toxic Management -- strategy of pushing Keystone Mall as "high end" brand/look -- FAIL

The fashion mall is losing folks left and right recently. They [ Saks 5th Avenue ] held on longer than more than Castleton and Circle Center but she’s goin through it

 April 2024

Even though it's The Fashion Mall, I'm surprised Saks stayed open as long as it did. This is purely conjecture as a not-rich person, but I feel like anybody who can comfortably and regularly drop cash at Saks isn't shopping at this location.

First of all, it's always felt weird to me because the place is so big, devoid of people, and eerily quiet. Then there's that random tea shop on the top floor that's nice but kinda cold. I have a very high tolerance for neutral, ultra modern designs, and I still find it cold and uninviting. I feel like their target audience is getting what they need at a place like Cake Bake in Carmel.

^^^ posted 2 month before my incident (May 23/2024)

SPG was using Mall Security to *aggressively* Follow/Harass *perceived* undesirables

blacks, Latinos, casually dressed mall go-ers, etc

towards a high-end mall atmosphere (upper socio-economic clients).

^^^ Self Destructive behavior! Ended up ALIENATING paying ($$) customers. Word travels fast, people QUIT going to Keystone
